Parties for Kids

Each party time lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes - 1 hour for art and 45 minutes for you to celebrate any way you would like (cake ... presents ... games ... singing ... dancing ... just have fun!). During your 45 minutes of celebration time, you will get to use an entirely separate area of the studio in which to celebrate, so don't worry about getting art stuff all over your party stuff. You can bring in your own food, decorations, games - whatever you bring in, you just take out. It's a great time creating and celebrating with your friends and family!

If you need a suggestion for a certain age group, or if there's something else you'd like to arrange, just let us know and we'll do our best to make it happen for you. All art that you create at a party will be available for pick up one week after the party day.

Please carefully review the entire registration form when you are completing it so that there are no surprises on your big day.

 What you get:

  • 1 hour of art instruction/activity for up to 8 participants, including the host (except parties where stated otherwise);
  • followed by 45 minutes to celebrate your party with your guests in an entirely separate area of the studio - this is your time to celebrate as you'd like (pizza, gifts, presentations, singing ....)
  • complimentary use of our 50" LCD TV wired with Apple TV so that you can stream your own presentation or music, or we can pop something on for you
  • the entire studio all to yourselves (we're not open to the public during your special time which means we are 100% dedicated to you!)
  • 7 large Smudge invitations to give out to your friends to invite them to your great day. If you need extra invitations, they're just $2 each. Alternatively, you can choose to send out a Smudge online invitation from Punchbowl for free!
  • fabulous art created by you and your guests to take home (after it dries)!

Our parties are for up to 8 artists (except Ceramics Painting parties - click here for details). Our parties are not designed for artists younger than age 5. Appropriate artwork for little artists (Age 4 and under) can often be set up by parents at home with minimal effort, such as finger painting, pudding painting, sidewalk chalk or even a huge roll of kraft paper with large water-based markers or crayons. It is also important to note that all of our parties are drop off (except for the parents of the birthday person). Should you feel that you will require extra artists than what is included in the party, this must be confirmed with management at the time of booking as not all parties are able to accomodate extra artists (additional fees will apply).

A message to parents of our little and young artists: Art is an interpretation that comes through a child's eye and out through the medium on which they are creating (canvas, clay, etc.). His/Her art is not going to (nor should it) look exactly like what we or anyone else are creating. Please let your child be and simply allow them to create their masterpiece on their own. They do not need your "assistance" as we were all born to create. If they need your help, they will ask for it, but until that time, let them create their own beautiful art the way they see fit. When it's done, please display it with pride!

One week notice is required for all party bookings. We have posted our standard available times on our calendarhowever if what you're looking for is not there, please contact us us directly.

We are able to take registrations in-studio or online (see below).

We can now take care of your gift bags for you! For just $6 each, each guest will receive a tattoo, candy treat, set of crayons, huge colouring page, cute eraser, funky pencil, glow stick, surprise gift and thank you card (if that will all fit!). Best of all - you don't have to worry about the gift bags because we will have them ready for you upon your arrival. Just let us know how many you need at least 48 hours in advance and we'll take care of it for you.

Booking a party online is super easy:

  • Check the calendar for an available party time
  • Add your chosen party to your cart and purchase through our online store.
  • After you complete your purchase, you will receive a receipt with a link to complete your online registration form where you will input your date and time from the calendar. This form must be submitted within 24 hours or your booking may be cancelled.
  • We'll get back to you as soon as possible with confirmation. Please note that we are only able to check online purchases during business hours.

All parties/private functions must be paid in full at the time of booking.  Upgrades need to be confirmed at the time of registration so that we are able to prepare for your great day. All parties/private functions are subject to product availability.

Parties/Private Functions are non-refundable. If advance notice of at least two (2) weeks is provided, the party can be moved to a new time within six months of the original party date. There is a $25 administration fee to do this.
